The African Youths for Peace Development and Empowerment Foundation (AFRYDEV) is a youth- and women-led non-governmental, humanitarian, and development organization with over 13 years of experience delivering impactful interventions across Northeast and Northwest Nigeria. Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), AFRYDEV is dedicated to advancing peacebuilding, social cohesion, and sustainable development, particularly among vulnerable populations such as women and youth.
With operational presence in Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Katsina, Sokoto, and Zamfara States, AFRYDEV implements programs focused on community engagement, livelihoods, WASH, healthcare, education, protection, and conflict mitigation. Through partnerships with government bodies, UN agencies, and international organizations, the foundation continues to strengthen resilience and promote inclusive development.
Location: Damaturu, Yobe State
Employment Type: Contract (12 months, renewable)
Salary Range: ₦500,000 – ₦800,000 monthly

1. Governance & Social Cohesion Officer
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Peace and Conflict Studies, Development Studies, Sociology, Environmental Management, Disaster Risk Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Governance, Peacebuilding, Natural Resource Management (NRM), or Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) is an added advantage. Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong analytical, coordination, and community engagement skills.

2. Finance Officer
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ICAN or ACCA will be considered an advantage. The role requires strong financial management, reporting, and compliance skills.

3. Economic Recovery and Gender Inclusion Officer
