British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer, Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, 43, has died after suffering a fatal pulmonary embolism following a penis-enlargement procedure during a holiday in Thailand with his wife.
According to evidence presented at an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court, Ubiribo underwent a cosmetic procedure involving injections of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at a clinic in Bangkok.
He reportedly later complained of chest pain and collapsed while receiving a massage with his wife. He was rushed to hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism.
A subsequent post-mortem examination in the UK reportedly found material in his lungs consistent with the substance used during the cosmetic procedure.
The coroner concluded that the cosmetic procedure caused the fatal embolism.
The tragic incident has since sparked reactions online, with some social media users joking about the reason behind the procedure and others warning about the potential risks associated with unregulated cosmetic treatments abroad.
