Now Hiring: Global Trade, Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor
Department: Local Global Trade Operations
Reports To: CEO
Work Mode: Remote (with occasional travel)
Remuneration: #300k Net
Role Summary
HRLeverage Africa, the leading Pan-African workforce management is seeking an experienced Global Trade, Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor for our client that operates in the international trade / wholesale trading sector — sourcing, importing and exporting a variety of goods globally. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end international logistics and trade operations. Also ensure smooth, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across borders while leading an operational team and coordinating with global partners.
Key Responsibilities
– Oversee import/export operations and ensure compliance with global trade laws and customs regulations.
– Manage trade documentation (Invoices, Packing Lists, BL/AWB, COO, LC documents, HS Codes, etc.).
– Coordinate international freight (air, sea, road, rail) and monitor shipment schedules, delivery, and costs.
– Supervise and guide logistics officers and trade coordinators.
– Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.
– Track KPIs — on-time delivery, clearance lead time, cost variance, and compliance rate.
– Support process improvement and cost optimization initiatives across the supply chain.
Key Requirements
– Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
– 3–5 years’ hands-on experience in international logistics, supply chain, or global trade operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
– Strong knowledge of Incoterms®, customs procedures, and international documentation.
– Proficiency in ERP or logistics systems and MS Excel.
– Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
– Preferred Certifications (an advantage) CSCP, CITP, FIATA Diploma, or Customs/Trade Compliance Certification.
