Academic excellence is achievable and not limited to a few, if you can plan, adjust and be committed to your plan through discipline. You can be brilliant but you still need to create time to read and be focused. I was able to excel in my academics because at the beginning of the semester, I will write out my expectation in my space where is visible so I can see it almost every day. Read through the courses I registered for the new session and assign a grade to all the courses and work hard to meet my expectations. Reading through the courses will let me note the ones that are difficult to assimilation, the ones that requires group work, tutorial, lengthy and the one that need thorough reading.
However, passing a courses does not only require reading or studying but also carefully answering the right questions in the manner expected, ability to do all your assignments and test well. Ability to write fast and clearly during examination is also important. There was one of my class mate at the University who knew the correct answers to a question but was slow in writing. My advice is speed up your writing skill.
Excelling in your academics is one of the major reasons you are in school so you cannot afford to be lazy when you are supposed to studying, do your best.
If you become one of the best you may not need to struggle in advancing your education as scholarship opportunity may be provided.

5. Imagine / memorize what you have read.
6. Attend tutorial where necessary.
7. Do group discussion if necessary.
8. Attend class/lecture
9. Do your assignment and test well.
10. Avoid exam malpractice.
