Born on October 29, 1952, in Onamutai, Oshana Region, Namibia, Nandi-Ndaitwah became politically active at a young age. She holds a Master’s degree in Diplomatic Studies and has completed postgraduate diplomas in public administration, management, and international relations from institutions in the United Kingdom.

SWAPO Leadership: She served as SWAPO’s deputy representative and chief representative in Zambia between 1976 and 1980, and later as the chief representative in East Africa, based in Dar es Salaam, from 1980 to 1986.
