The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Entrepreneurship Grant is a yearly initiative aimed at empowering African entrepreneurs with seed funding, mentorship, and business training to catalyze economic growth, drive poverty eradication, and ensure job creation. Since its inception in 2010, the Foundation has been instrumental in supporting underserved communities in Africa.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be an African entrepreneur with a startup or a business idea poised for growth.

Minimum age: 18 years old.

Must have a business idea or an existing business.

Programmes Available for 2025

1. TEF Flagship Entrepreneurship Programme:

Open to all entrepreneurs across Africa.

Age: Minimum 18 years.

2. IYBA-WE4A Entrepreneurship Programme:

Exclusively for women entrepreneurs with green business ideas or existing green businesses in Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, and Togo.

Age: Minimum 18 years.

3. Aguka Ideation Programme:

For Rwandan entrepreneurs with idea-stage businesses.

Age: 18-30 years.

4. BeGreen Africa Programme:

Open to green businesses in Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa, and waste management businesses in Kenya.

Age: 18-35 years.
