The official commissioning of the Ogun Job Centre took place at the Government Science and Technical College, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, marking a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to create sustainable employment pathways for its citizens.
The project was delivered in collaboration with the German Cooperation (Deutsche Zusammenarbeit), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the World Bank through the Ogun State Economic Transformation Project (OGSTEP), and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaftfür Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
Speaking at the event on behalf of Governor Dapo Abiodun, the Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, described the Ogun Job Centre as a strategic platform where skills will meet opportunity, and where dedication will be rewarded with personal and economic growth. The initiative is aimed at enhancing job matching, vocational training, and entrepreneurship development for the youth across the state.
