The management of FUTA Staff Secondary School recently paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Akure Professor Adenike Oladiji. The visit was to express the school’s appreciation for the Vice-Chancellor’s consistent support and to further strengthen the cordial relationship between the secondary school and the university.
The delegation was led by the Principal, Mr. Rufus Ajayi alongside other key members of the management team. During the interaction, the Principal conveyed the gratitude of the school community for the encouragement and assistance it had received over time, noting that such support had contributed positively to the academic and administrative progress of the school.
Mr. Ajayi lauded the Vice Chancellor for her continued interest in the school even before his tenure and for the development of secondary education. He expressed optimism that school will grow to greater heights under the guidance and benevolence of the University management.
In her response, the Vice-Chancellor expressed pleasure at the visit and commended the management for its commitment to maintaining high educational standards.
She emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between secondary and tertiary institutions, particularly in mentoring students and preparing them adequately for higher education. The Vice-Chancellor also offered valuable advice on staff development, discipline, and the need to sustain moral and academic excellence among students.
The Vice-Chancellor reassured the delegation of his/her willingness to continue supporting initiatives that promote quality education and youth development.
