The Nigerian Education Loan Fund has disbursed a total of ₦61,373,800.00 to students of Federal Polytechnic Idah for the 2025/2026 academic session. The disbursement, made on February 3, 2026, is aimed at supporting students with tuition and other statutory charges.
A total of 1,470 students of the institution are beneficiaries of the loan, which is part of the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to improve access to higher education through financial support schemes. The initiative is designed to ease the burden of school fees and ensure that students are not forced to drop out due to financial constraints.
The intervention by NELFUND is expected to enhance academic continuity for beneficiaries, allowing them to focus on their studies without interruption. Stakeholders have continued to commend the programme as a critical step towards expanding educational opportunities and promoting equity in Nigeria’s tertiary education system.
