The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 279 previously withheld Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results after concluding parts of its investigations into alleged examination malpractice.
In a statement issued by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board explained that the affected results were initially withheld due to suspected irregularities detected during and after the examination process.
According to JAMB, some candidates were cleared after investigations revealed no prima facie evidence against them, leading to the release of their results. However, the board confirmed that results linked to centres flagged by its monitoring teams for suspicious activities remain under review.
JAMB warned that any candidate found guilty of malpractice at the end of the investigations would have their results cancelled.
The board also advised candidates yet to access their results to check their status by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
