MTN Scholarship 2024 Details:
The MTN Scholarship Scheme is one of the flagship programs of the MTN Foundation since 2010, and is open to eligible undergraduate students studying in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions.
Launched in 2012, the scholarship is targeted at eligible 200 and 300 level blind students studying any course in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
300 successful students are awarded scholarships worth N300,000.00 annually till graduation, provided they maintain the required grades. 60 successful blind students are also awarded scholarships worth N200,000.00 annually till graduation.
A recent addition in 2020, every year the top 10 scoring candidates of UTME as announced by JAMB, automatically qualify for the top 10 UTME scholarship. The successful candidates are awarded scholarships worth N300,000.00 from their 100 level through to graduation if they maintain the required grades.
MTN Scholarship 2024 Requirements:
To be considered for the 2024 MTN Scholarship for Undergraduates, read and digest the information below:
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) and MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to Nigerian students in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions.
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) is open to 300 level students while the MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to 200 & 300 level Blind students.
- However, for blind students studying Law, which is a 5 years course, only 300 level students can apply for the MTN Scholarship.
- The application is also open to top 10 jamb candidate for 2023
CGPA Requirements Include;
The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS):
- STEM Students in Public Universities, and Colleges of Education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (second class upper credit)
- STEM Students in Public Polytechnics must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Program and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Program.
- Direct Entry level STEM students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program and must have secured admission into 300 level/3rd year in a Public University.
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS):
- Blind Students in the Universities or Colleges of Education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5
- Blind Students in Public Polytechnics must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Program and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Program.
