The Gombe State College of Health, Science and Technology, Kaltungo, has received a ₦15,599,000 disbursement from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to details of the disbursement, the funds were released on May 8, 2026, and will cover the statutory charges of 254 students enrolled in the institution.
The intervention is part of NELFUND’s ongoing efforts to expand access to higher education and reduce the financial burden on students across the country. By covering essential academic fees, the disbursement is expected to enable beneficiaries to continue their studies without disruption.
The development reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent qualified students from pursuing their educational goals.
Students of the institution are among thousands nationwide benefiting from the NELFUND programme, which seeks to promote equitable access to tertiary education under the Renewed Hope agenda.
Stakeholders have continued to commend the initiative, describing it as a significant step toward improving educational opportunities and supporting human capital development in Nigeria.
