The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed ₦6,231,600 to the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, Anambra State, to cover the statutory charges of eligible students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the latest disbursement record, the payment, made on June 24, 2026, benefited 39 verified student loan applicants, with the fund covering 100 per cent of their statutory institutional charges.
The intervention is part of the Federal Government’s ongoing student loan programme aimed at removing financial barriers to higher education and ensuring that eligible students can continue their academic pursuits without interruption.
NELFUND said the disbursement aligns with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to expand access to tertiary education through interest-free financial support for Nigerian students.
The latest payment adds to the growing number of tertiary institutions across the country receiving NELFUND disbursements as the agency continues to process verified applications under the student loan scheme.
