The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has released the list of successful and reserve candidates for admission into its 78 Regular Combatant Course (78RC).
The admission followed the Armed Forces Selection Board exercise conducted between July 4 and August 19, 2026.
Here are the key details candidates should know:
Reporting Date
Successful candidates are expected to report to the NDA Ribadu Campus (Old Site), Kaduna, on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
According to the Academy, any candidate who fails to report by Monday, September 14, 2026, will forfeit the admission offer.
Reserve Candidates
The NDA said candidates placed on the reserve list may still be contacted if vacancies arise.
Such notifications will be sent through the candidates’ registered email addresses and phone numbers.
Required Documents
Candidates must present the original copies of their credentials, including:
– First School Leaving Certificate
– Primary School Testimonial
– WAEC/NECO result
– Senior Secondary School Testimonial
– Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
– Letter of State of Origin
– Parent/Guardian Consent Form
The Academy warned that photocopies will not be accepted.
“Any candidate who fails to present originals of the stated documents will not be accepted into the Academy,” the notice stated.
JAMB Requirements
All selected candidates have been directed to upload their O’Level results on the JAMB portal before reporting.
Candidates admitted into departments different from their preferred choices are also required to make the necessary changes on the JAMB portal.
The NDA further instructed all admitted candidates to accept their admission through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Other Items to Bring
Successful candidates are expected to arrive with specified clothing, sportswear, bedding and personal items required for training.
Female candidates are also expected to bring additional items, including dark-coloured lounge skirts, black low-heel shoes and trouser suits.
First Three Months
The Academy stated that newly admitted cadets will not be allowed to receive visitors or leave the campus during their first three months of training.
The NDA urged candidates and their parents to comply strictly with all admission requirements and reporting guidelines.
