The Dele Awe Foundation has opened applications for its 2026 scholarship programme, offering financial assistance to eligible Nigerian students in tertiary institutions. Applications close on 30 October 2026.
The scholarship supports students who demonstrate academic promise and financial need. According to the foundation, it awards approximately 100 scholarships annually to students across communities where it operates in Nigeria.
The Dele Awe Foundation Scholarship 2026 provides tuition support for the academic year, with payments made directly to the beneficiary’s institution. Selected students may also receive textbooks and other learning materials to support their studies.
To qualify, applicants must come from communities served by the foundation and be admitted to, or in good academic standing at, an accredited Nigerian university, polytechnic or college of education. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need.
Eligible communities listed for the 2026 programme include Irede LCDA and Ipoti-Ekiti in Ekiti State, Omuo-Oke-Ekiti in Ekiti State, Ayetoro Gbede in Kogi State, and Ora-Igbomina in Osun State.
Applicants should prepare their admission letters or current academic results, a passport photograph, a one-page personal statement outlining their goals, and any additional documents required by the foundation.
Secondary school students can also seek separate assistance through the foundation’s WAEC and NECO examination registration sponsorship programme. This provides another route for students who need financial support to complete their secondary education.
Interested applicants can request an application form by emailing the foundation with their name, institution and year of study. They may also obtain a form through their school’s designated coordinator.
