Fully Paid One-Year Programme Offers Stipends, Mentorship and Professional Experience
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has announced the opening of applications for its 2027 Young Graduates Immersion Programme, a fully funded professional development initiative designed to equip young graduates with practical experience in regional integration and public service.
The one-year programme provides participants from ECOWAS member states with an opportunity to work in various ECOWAS institutions while receiving monthly stipends, mentorship, and professional training.
Programme Overview
The ECOWAS Young Graduates Immersion Programme seeks to support the professional integration of young graduates by exposing them to the operations, policies, and development programmes of the regional organisation.
Selected participants will be assigned to ECOWAS departments, agencies, resident representations, or other designated institutions, where they will contribute to projects in areas such as policy development, administration, project management, and regional cooperation.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2027 ECOWAS Young Graduates Immersion Programme, applicants must:
– Be citizens of an ECOWAS member state.
– Be 32 years old or younger.
– Hold a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, PhD, or an equivalent qualification.
– Be available to participate full-time throughout the programme.

Programme Duration

Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit:
– A motivation letter addressed to the ECOWAS Commissioner for Human Development and Social Affairs, stating their areas of interest, preferred placement, desired location, and commitment to the programme.
– A Curriculum Vitae (CV) in PDF format.
– A copy of a valid national identity card or passport.
– Copies of academic certificates or equivalent qualifications.
Applicants may apply for a maximum of two available positions.
