Traffic flow on campus was temporarily disrupted on Tuesday due to ongoing tree felling and clearance operations near Afolayan Park, along Oduduwa Road.
The university management had earlier scheduled the removal of trees posing threats to electrical power lines along the stretch between Afolayan Park and the Shopping Complex. However, the operation, which commenced on Monday, 9 June, could not be completed as planned and has been extended to Tuesday, 10 June.
As a result, Oduduwa Road has been shut to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic for safety reasons.
Staff, students, and visitors have been advised to use alternative routes through the Health Centre or the new access road leading to the Postgraduate/Adeboye Hostel.
Efforts are ongoing to ensure the swift completion of the exercise, after which normal traffic flow is expected to resume.
The university management has appealed for understanding and cooperation from the campus community.
