Program Details
The McKinsey Forward Program helps participants develop new ways of thinking, build confidence, and lead with purpose.
The learning experience is interactive and virtual. It begins with foundational skills development and progresses to applying these skills through case studies based on real-world business scenarios. Participants strengthen new behaviours through reflection and peer learning.
At the end of the programme, participants receive a McKinsey Forward digital badge and gain access to an exclusive global network of lifelong learners.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the McKinsey Forward Program 2026, applicants must:
Currently reside in any African country.
Be employed, self-employed, or between jobs.
Have less than five years of total work experience;
OR
Have more than five years of work experience but must not have been responsible for directly managing colleagues.
Have completed at least secondary school/high school education.
Have a good command of English, as the programme is conducted in English.
Program Structure and Benefits
The programme is structured into three levels:
Foundation Level
Duration: 8 weeks
Commitment: Approximately two hours per week
Advanced Level
Duration: 11 weeks
Commitment: Approximately two hours per week
Outcome: Earn a shareable McKinsey Forward digital badge
Network Level
Duration: 18 months
Participation in optional ongoing activities
Participants will gain practical skills to:
Turn complex business challenges into opportunities using structured and creative thinking.
Communicate effectively to inspire action.
Apply agile ways of working and leverage data and technology.
Build resilience, adaptability, and emotional awareness to succeed individually and within teams, especially during change.
