The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has approved a substantial disbursement for students of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to official figures, a total of ₦211,154,000 was released to cover tuition and statutory charges for 2,362 students. The disbursement was completed on 5th March 2026.
The intervention is expected to ensure uninterrupted academic progress for beneficiaries by easing financial pressure and covering essential institutional fees.
NELFUND noted that the initiative aligns with its mandate to expand access to higher education through sustainable financing, while supporting government efforts under the Renewed Hope agenda.
The funding is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen educational inclusion and ensure that eligible students can complete their studies without financial disruption.
