Three innovative students from Caleb University in Nigeria — Harmony Abayomi, Frida Efod, and Chibuzor Nwachukwu — are turning this idea into reality. They’ve developed Valor, an AI-powered app designed to detect the ripeness of fruits with remarkable accuracy.
By using computer vision and machine learning, Valor assesses the condition of fruits to help reduce waste, improve harvest timing for farmers, and ensure consumers enjoy their produce at peak quality.
This groundbreaking project has the potential to transform food preservation and agricultural practices, proving once again that African students are shaping the future with tech-driven solutions.
