Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has rescheduled its 2026/2027 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening exercise and extended the deadline for candidates to complete their registration.
The university said the in-person Post-UTME screening exercise will now take place from Friday, September 25 to Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The development affects candidates seeking admission into OAU for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The university has also extended the registration deadline to Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Candidates who have not completed their applications are therefore required to do so before the new deadline if they wish to participate in the screening exercise.
OAU said candidates who have already completed their registration can log into the university’s screening portal using their JAMB registration number as their username and the password created during registration. The university has advised applicants to rely on its official website and official communication channels for information concerning the exercise.
The screening exercise will be conducted physically, meaning candidates are expected to appear at the university for the required verification and screening activities. The university has urged applicants to pay attention to their individual screening information and make the necessary arrangements ahead of their assigned dates.
The latest development is expected to give prospective OAU students additional time to complete the registration process while moving the physical screening exercise to the new September 25–30 window. A recent report on the development also confirmed the new screening dates and registration extension.
Candidates are advised to check their OAU screening profiles regularly for their individual screening details and to keep their JAMB registration information and other required documents available for the exercise.
The university has stressed that candidates should obtain admission-related information directly from OAU’s official communication channels to avoid relying on unverified information circulating on social media.
