Save the Children International is currently recruiting qualified professionals to support its EU-funded education programme in Nigeria. These roles are based in Jigawa and Borno States and offer an opportunity to contribute to improving access to quality education and child protection outcomes.
1. Education Programme Officer (EU) – Jigawa
Location: Jigawa State, Nigeria
Contract: 1 year (renewable)
Grade: Level 4
Role Overview:
The Education Programme Officer will support the coordination and implementation of education interventions under the EU-INTPA project. The role involves working closely with communities, government stakeholders, and partners to ensure effective programme delivery, monitoring, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support implementation of education projects and Detailed Implementation Plans
Coordinate stakeholder engagement at state and LGA levels
Monitor project progress and contribute to donor reporting
Support planning, budgeting, and MEAL activities
Ensure compliance with safeguarding and “Do No Harm” principles
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC experience in NGO programme implementation
Experience with OOSC, ABEP, or teacher development programmes is an advantage
Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills

2. Advocacy and Campaign Coordinator (EU) – Jigawa
Location: Jigawa State, Nigeria
Contract: 1 year (renewable)
Grade: Level 3
Role Overview:
The Coordinator will lead advocacy and campaign efforts for the EU education project, influencing policy, strengthening partnerships, and promoting access to inclusive and quality education—especially for girls and out-of-school children.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement advocacy and campaign strategies
Engage stakeholders at community, LGA, and state levels
Develop policy briefs, campaign materials, and reports
Strengthen partnerships with CSOs, media, and government actors
Promote child participation and safeguarding practices
Requirements:
Degree in Social Sciences, Education, Public Policy, or related field
Minimum of 5 years experience in advocacy or development programmes
Strong policy analysis, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

3. Policy, Advocacy and Campaign (PAC) Officer – Borno
Location: Borno State, Nigeria
Grade: Level 4
Role Overview:
The PAC Officer will drive advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and community mobilization efforts to strengthen child rights and humanitarian programming across Borno State.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead government and stakeholder engagement initiatives
Support advocacy campaigns and communication strategies
Facilitate community mobilization and child participation
Develop reports, policy briefs, and communication materials
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or related field
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
Must be an indigene of Borno State
Fluency in English, Hausa, and Kanuri.
