Prominent businessman and philanthropist, Prince Olatunji Olusoji, has pledged to deepen his investment in education, describing it as the greatest gift to children, families, and nations.
Olusoji, who hails from Ayere in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, made the pledge in Abuja during his conferment with an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities by Vine University, America.
Speaking at the event, he said the recognition would only strengthen his resolve to ensure no Nigerian child is denied access to learning.
> “Education to me is the best gift you can give to any nation, any child, any community,” he declared. “With humility and gratitude, I accept this award and reaffirm my commitment to using my platform and resources to champion quality education in Kogi State and across Nigeria.”
The philanthropist stressed that while he had received many accolades for his humanitarian work, his greatest joy lies in investing in people through knowledge and opportunity. He added that no country can achieve its developmental aspirations without proper investment in human capital, promising to channel more of his networks and resources into strengthening Nigeria’s educational foundation.
Vine University noted that the award was in recognition of Prince Olusoji’s lifelong devotion to philanthropy and education.
> “Our mission is to raise future leaders grounded in integrity, honesty, and godliness through accessible online education. Honouring Prince Olusoji is our way of acknowledging his impact,” the institution said.
The Abuja ceremony drew dignitaries, academics, and community leaders, who praised Olusoji as a man of integrity, hard work, and vision, describing his contribution to education as a model for other Nigerian elites to emulate.
