The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI), with support from the Ford Foundation, invites applications for its fully funded Next Generation Internship Programme. This six-month internship is designed to build the professional capacity of young West Africans through practical experience in civil society work.
About the Internship
The WACSI Next Generation Internship Programme aims to equip early-career professionals and recent graduates from Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, and Cape Verde with relevant skills and exposure in the civil society sector. The internship will run from February to July 2025.
Interns will gain hands-on experience in technology for social impact, working on development projects, program management, leadership, and digital transformation within the civil society space.

Opportunity to work at the WACSI office in Abuja (Nigeria) or Accra (Ghana)
At the end of the internship, interns are expected to submit a practicum report, an end-of-internship report, and a technology action plan relevant to civil society in West Africa.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
Show commitment to WACSI’s mission and values, with an interest in civil society.
Possess strong communication and writing skills.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools.
Have knowledge of cloud computing, digital marketing, and data analysis.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to work under pressure in a multicultural setting.
Be proactive and team-oriented.
