Before you pack your bags and head to the airport, there are some important things you should know about life as an international student.
1. It May Not Feel Like Home Immediately
Give yourself time to adjust. The culture, weather, food, people, and lifestyle may all be different. You may miss home, and that’s completely normal.

There will be nobody there to remind you about your assignments, laundry, meals, appointments, or deadlines. Studying abroad comes with a lot of personal responsibility.
4. Respect the Laws and Culture of Your Host Country
You’re not just visiting. You’re living and studying there. Take time to understand the rules, culture, and expectations of your new environment.
5. Remember Why You Went There
There will be fun.There will be challenges. There may even be days when you miss home or question your decision. But don’t lose sight of why you started the journey in the first place.
