Applications are now open for the 2026 Nordic Africa Institute (NAI) Nordic Scholarship Programme, designed for students and researchers pursuing Africa-oriented studies.
The programme offers financial support, accommodation, and access to a collaborative research environment in Sweden, with the goal of building capacity in the production of knowledge about Africa and strengthening ties between Nordic research communities.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the NAI Nordic Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a Master’s student, PhD candidate, or postdoctoral researcher in the social sciences or humanities.
- Be affiliated with a university or research centre in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, or Iceland.
- Be engaged in Africa-oriented studies or research.
