Delta State University (DELSU) has officially acknowledged receipt of N87,439,525.00 from the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to support tuition payments for its students.
In a letter signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Rufina U. Ufiofio, addressed to the Managing Director/CEO of NELFUND, the university confirmed that the funds were duly credited to its account. The release of funds covers tuition for a total of 382 students, broken down as follows:
N12,729,500.00 for fifty-eight (58) students
N3,649,000.00 for fourteen (14) students
N71,061,025.00 for three hundred and ten (310) students
The letter highlights that this intervention reflects the Federal Government’s ongoing commitment to advancing education in Nigeria. Delta State University expressed its appreciation for NELFUND’s support and looks forward to continued collaboration in ensuring sustained educational support for students.
Mrs. Rufina U. Ufiofio conveyed the assurances of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel O. Asagba, regarding the university’s gratitude for this funding.
