No fewer than 580 students of Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan-Waya have received financial support following the disbursement of ₦34,031,000 by Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The disbursement, made on March 25, 2026, covers statutory charges and other study-related fees for the beneficiaries, easing their financial burden and enabling them to continue their academic pursuits without interruption.
According to details of the payment, the intervention is targeted at supporting access to education by ensuring that students are not hindered by financial constraints.
The development is expected to provide relief for the affected students, many of whom rely on such interventions to fund their education, while also reinforcing the Federal Government’s commitment to expanding access to higher education through student financing initiatives.
Stakeholders in the education sector have continued to emphasise the importance of timely disbursement of funds, noting that such support plays a critical role in improving retention and academic performance among students.
