The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has advised prospective candidates and members of the public to disregard information circulating from unofficial sources regarding the institution’s 2026/2027 admission exercise.
In a statement issued on Friday, June 19, 2026, the university stressed that all admission-related information should be obtained exclusively through its official communication channels to avoid falling victim to misinformation and fraudulent claims.
According to the university, its official website remains the authentic source for updates on the 2026/2027 admission process, including the Post-UTME Screening Exercise, registration procedures, eligibility requirements, cut-off marks, available programmes, screening schedules, and other relevant announcements.
UNILAG urged candidates seeking admission into the institution to carefully study and comply with the guidelines published on the university’s website concerning the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
The institution also provided contact channels for enquiries related to the screening exercise. Candidates can reach the university via email at postutme@unilag.edu.ng or call 09053006772 and 08141656802 for clarification on admission matters.
The university further cautioned prospective applicants and the general public to remain vigilant against unauthorised announcements and deceptive information, emphasizing the importance of verifying all admission-related updates through official UNILAG platforms.
The statement was signed by Adejoke Alaga-Ibraheem, Head of the Communication Unit, University of Lagos.
