The Federal Ministry of Education has launched an investigation into the quality of food served in Federal Unity Colleges after discovering that two schools provided meals below the required standards.
As a result, the principals of the affected institutions have been recalled to the ministry’s headquarters for further inquiry.
This development came to light during a recent inspection of Federal Unity Colleges, aimed at assessing student welfare.
In a statement, the Director of Press & Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade, reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of students across the country.
To enforce compliance with feeding standards and student welfare policies, the ministry has deployed senior officers to oversee operations in the affected schools while the investigation is ongoing.
Additionally, a nationwide assessment of all Federal Unity Colleges has been initiated to evaluate the quality of food and overall care provided to students.
The ministry emphasized its dedication to maintaining high standards in its schools to ensure students receive proper nutrition and support essential for their academic and personal development.
