The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) this morning bid farewell to the first batch of Head Teachers embarking on a short-term capacity building seminar in China.
The delegation, comprising Eight Heads of Schools drawn from the different Regional Education Directorates (REDs) across the country, will participate in a specialized training on Capacity Building for Primary and Secondary Schools from Developing Countries.
In his farewell remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Louis Moses Mendy, congratulated the nominees on behalf of the Honourable Minister, Dr. Habibatou Drammeh, and underscored the significance of the initiative.
He emphasized that the program reflects MoBSE’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the human resource base of the education sector.
He thanked the Government of the People’s Republic of China for the continuous collaboration and partnership.
Mr. Mendy urged the participants to seize the opportunity to learn, exchange best practices, and bring back insights that will enrich teaching and leadership within Gambian schools.
