The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revised the commencement date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to Thursday, April 24, 2025, contrary to the earlier announced date of April 25.
This update was made public in a statement issued by JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, on Saturday in Abuja. He explained that the adjustment was necessary to accommodate critical national assignments involving the Board and its partnering agencies.
Benjamin announced that candidates can now begin printing their 2025 UTME notification slips, which detail essential information such as the examination date, time, and centre.
“Candidates are advised to print their slips starting from today, April 19, to allow enough time for logistics and to get acquainted with their assigned centres,” he stated.
To access the notification slip, candidates are to visit www.jamb.gov.ng, click on ‘2025 UTME Slip Printing,’ input their registration number, and print their examination slip.
Dr. Benjamin also urged candidates to visit their centres at least one or two days before the examination date to avoid any last-minute challenges.
He reiterated that all candidates will be posted to centres within their selected examination towns, with no one assigned outside their chosen location.
This update is part of JAMB’s continued efforts to ensure a smooth and hitch-free examination exercise for all candidates nationwide.
