The management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, has confirmed the receipt of a ₦10.1 million disbursement from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The institution disclosed that the fund, credited on March 30, 2026, covers 113 student beneficiaries enrolled in the polytechnic.
According to the statement, the disbursement is intended to cater for tuition fees, where applicable, as well as other statutory charges, easing the financial burden on students and supporting their academic continuity.
The development is expected to enable the beneficiaries to pursue their studies without interruption, in line with ongoing efforts to expand access to higher education financing in Nigeria.
NELFUND, a federal government initiative, is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible students across tertiary institutions, with the goal of improving access to education and reducing dropout rates linked to financial constraints.
Stakeholders have described the intervention as a timely boost, noting that such support aligns with broader national objectives of strengthening the education sector and empowering young Nigerians.
