The Oyo State Government has released the results of the 2026 Placement Screening Exercise into Junior Secondary Schools across the state.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, in Ibadan on Friday.
According to the statement, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Olusegun Olayiwola, has directed head teachers and other relevant stakeholders to liaise with Local Inspectors of Education in their respective local government areas to collect the results of their pupils.
Olayiwola said the release of the results represents another step in ensuring a smooth and transparent transition of pupils from primary school to the next stage of their education.
He noted that the exercise reflects the state government’s commitment to maintaining a fair, credible and efficient placement process for pupils across Oyo State.
The commissioner congratulated successful candidates and encouraged them to remain focused as they prepare to begin Junior Secondary School One in the 2026/2027 academic session.
He also urged the pupils to approach the new phase of their education with discipline, determination and a strong commitment to learning, stressing that these qualities would play a key role in their future academic success.
