The University of Jos has received a total of ₦615,875,000 under the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the announcement, the funds—disbursed on 23 April 2026—cover statutory charges for 4,192 students of the institution.
The intervention is aimed at easing financial pressure on students and ensuring uninterrupted academic activities. It is expected to support continued access to education for beneficiaries by offsetting institutional fees and related charges.
Officials noted that the disbursement reflects ongoing efforts to expand access to higher education and strengthen student support systems nationwide under the Renewed Hope education agenda.
The support package is projected to benefit over four thousand students, enabling them to remain in school and complete their studies without financial disruption.
