The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the keynote speakers for the fifth edition of its International Week, scheduled to take place from Monday, 13 October to Friday, 17 October 2025.
The confirmed speakers include:

Emmanuel Lubanzadio, Africa Lead at OpenAI
Prof Diana Mitlin, African Cities Research Consortium, University of Manchester, United Kingdom
This year’s event will be held under the theme “Equitable Partnerships and the Future of AI in Africa.” It reflects UNILAG’s commitment to building balanced global collaborations while exploring the transformative role of artificial intelligence in shaping the continent’s future.
The International Week has grown into a flagship platform for dialogue, networking, and strategic engagement among academic institutions, industry leaders, policymakers, and the wider public. The 2025 edition will feature keynote lectures, panel discussions, exhibitions, cultural showcases, and interactive workshops.
The university has extended an open invitation to members of its community and the general public to participate in the week-long programme.
