The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has urged Corps Members to uphold the scheme’s core values throughout their service year and beyond.
Speaking on Tuesday while addressing the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Corps Members undergoing the Orientation Course in Rivers State, Nafiu encouraged them to be patriotic and let integrity, efficiency, transparency, and commitment guide their actions.
Commending the Corps Members for responding to the call to serve their country, the DG emphasized the importance of making positive contributions to national development during and after their service year.
Earlier, the NYSC Rivers State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe, presented the camp situation report, noting that the 2,586 Corps Members had displayed high levels of discipline, patriotism, and commitment.
Nafiu’s address highlights NYSC’s ongoing efforts to instill good virtues and a sense of national duty in Nigerian youth, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to society.
