After years of experience in media, public relations and polytechnic administration, Mr J.A. Fadeji has emerged as the fourth substantive Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State.
Fadeji, who has spent several years in the polytechnic system, is currently associated with Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, where he has served as Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocol. His emergence marks a transition from institutional communications and administration into one of the principal administrative positions of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji.
Although an official appointment statement from the institution was not immediately available at the time of filing this report, Fadeji himself appeared to confirm the development in a WhatsApp status on Wednesday.
“It is the Lord’s doing, which of your blessings will I deny my Father and my God. It is official,” he wrote.
Fadeji is also an academic and researcher with a background in public administration.
In 2024, he completed a postgraduate research work at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, titled Decision Making and Public Polytechnic Administration in Osun State. The 141-page study examined decision-making mechanisms and their influence on the administration of public polytechnics in Osun State.
According to the study, Fadeji found that governing councils, academic boards and departmental boards were among the prominent decision-making platforms in public polytechnics. The research also identified insufficient funding, resistance to adaptation among employees and inadequate deployment of technology as major challenges affecting decision-making and administration.
His research interests have also extended to media and communication. Fadeji, alongside Aluko A.J. and Hamzat F.O., co-authored a 2025 academic paper titled Shadows of Truth: Media Framing, Agenda-Setting, and the Commodification of Reality through Classical Philosophical Paradigms, published in the Kashere Journal of Politics and International Relations.

His connection with the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji is not entirely new. Earlier records from the institution identified him as Bayo Fadeji, serving as a protocol and media officer during the institution’s formative years.
Records also show that Fadeji has previously signed official communications on behalf of the Registrar at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, indicating his long-standing involvement in the institution’s administrative operations.
His reported emergence as Registrar therefore brings to the position an administrator with experience spanning public polytechnic administration, institutional communication, public relations and academic research.
The Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji was established through a Federal Government pronouncement in July 2014 and has continued to expand its academic and administrative operations.
Fadeji is expected to assume responsibility for the day-to-day administrative affairs of the institution as Registrar, subject to the formal announcement and other applicable appointment procedures.
