Overview
Applications are now open for the 2025 MasterCard Foundation Scholarship at Ashesi University, Ghana. This prestigious scholarship aims to empower young Africans through comprehensive support for academic, personal, and leadership development.
Ashesi University has partnered with the MasterCard Foundation since 2012 and was among the program’s nine founding institutions. Hundreds of students have benefited from this partnership.
In addition to a fully funded undergraduate education, selected scholars may also participate in a fast-track master’s program in partnership with Arizona State University—completing both degrees within five years instead of the usual six.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship at Ashesi University, applicants must:
Be a citizen of an African country
Demonstrate outstanding academic performance
Show evidence of financial need
Exhibit leadership qualities and a strong commitment to community service
