The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed ₦6,851,050 to the Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology (NILEST), Zaria, Kaduna State, to cover the statutory charges of verified student beneficiaries for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the disbursement details, the payment, made on June 1, 2026, benefited 141 students, with the fund covering 100 per cent of their statutory charges.
The intervention is aimed at easing the financial burden on students and ensuring that eligible beneficiaries continue their education without disruption.
NELFUND said the disbursement aligns with the Federal Government’s commitment to expanding access to higher education by providing financial support to qualified Nigerian students through its student loan scheme.
The latest payment is part of the Fund’s ongoing nationwide disbursement to tertiary institutions under the 2025/2026 academic session, helping more students pursue their academic goals without financial constraints.
