Over the last month, the NELFUND MD, Mr Akintunde Sawyerr and his devoted team have criss-crossed the nation in a relentless drive to create awareness about the interest free student loan that the Federal Government has made available to students of all Federal and State funded tertiary institutions - universities, polytechnics and technical colleges. By all indications, their efforts appear to be bearing fruit as more states begin to take advantage of this opportunity. Mr Sawyerr and his team visited several tertiary institutions in the south-east and south-south regions of the nation where applications for the loan had been slow compared to some other regions of the country. At each institution, he met with the management of the institutions and the student bodies. Determined to empower the Nigerian youth with a sound education to fulfill his and her potential, the NELFUND awareness campaign train shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon.
