WHAT IF?

A new dawn and day
A newborn task awaits us all, absent-mindedly I stare in its eyes
Chills and shivers crawl down my spine
My mind instantly goes to a system shutdown

I know I’m capable of achieving this task
But the thought of it makes me light-headed
Am I hallucinating
Or did I fall into a coma

A gentle breeze flows
Between the tiny hairs on my cheek
But soon into electric waves
Tangled in my ribs

I inhale heavily but it seems as if the air,
Gets trapped in my lungs
Counting from 1-10 then seemed like an impossible task
Back to reality with a gasp
It hit me when I realized the power of the twin evils
“Doubt and Fear”
