The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved Amadeus University to start programmes in Law, Medicine & Surgery, and Pharmacy from the 2025/2026 academic session.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Samuel Nzotta said the approval followed a thorough review of the university’s facilities and manpower. With this green light, the school has opened admissions into two key programmes—MBBS (Medicine & Surgery) and Doctor of Pharmacy (D.Pharm).
To qualify, candidates need a minimum JAMB score of 200 for Medicine and 180 for Pharmacy, along with the required SSCE or NECO credit passes. Interested applicants are advised to apply through JAMB CAPS and make the necessary change of institution and course.
Prof. Nzotta also noted that admissions are ongoing for 19 other courses listed on the university’s portal. All admissions close on November 30, 2025.
Amadeus University, inaugurated in February by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, will matriculate its pioneer 100-level students in February 2026. The VC said the university prides itself on quality lecturers, modern facilities, and a calm, beautiful environment designed to give students a solid learning experience.
