Step 1: Eligibility Criteria
For Undergraduate Applicants
Minimum Qualification:
Seven (7) distinctions (A’s & B’s) in WASSCE/WAEC (May/June) only, including English Language and Mathematics.
Age Limit: 17–20 years.
Certificate Validity:
For Non-African countries: Certificates not older than two years (2023 & 2024).
For African countries: Certificates must be from 2024 only.
For Postgraduate Applicants
Minimum Qualification:
A First Degree with at least a 2nd Class Upper Division.
Age Limit: 35 years for Master’s Degree and 40 years for Ph.D.
Additional Requirements:
Completed NYSC with discharge or exemption certificate.
Evidence of readiness to be released by the employer.
Step 2: Visit the Official Website
1. Access the Application Portal
Go to the Federal Ministry of Education website: www.education.gov.ng.
Click on the Federal Scholarship Board icon on the homepage.
2. Complete the Application
Carefully read the guidelines provided.
Fill out the online application form.
Print out the completed application form.
Step 3: Prepare Required Documents
For Undergraduate Applicants:
WAEC/WASSCE certificate (original or digital copy for 2024 WAEC).
National Identification Number (NIN) Slip.
For Postgraduate Applicants:
First Degree certificate.
NIN Slip.
NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

1. Hungarian Scholarships

The application portal is open until 15th January 2025.
You can apply for up to two fields of study in order of preference.
2. Russian Scholarships
Visit the webpage
Ensure documents are scanned in PDF format and uploaded to the Russian portal.
Applicants must have an international passport and original WAEC certificate
Step 5: Additional Requirements for Selected Candidates
If nominated, candidates must submit the following:
1. Authenticated copies of academic certificates.
2. Data page of a valid international passport.
3. Medical reports from a government hospital.
4. Birth certificate and indigene letter.
5. Police clearance certificate (if required).
Step 6: Important Deadlines
Application Portal Opens: 2nd December 2024.
Application Portal Closes: 12th January 2025.
