Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State, has received a substantial financial disbursement from the National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to support students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to official information released on 29 May 2026, a total of ₦28,721,500 was credited to the institution on behalf of 522 students. The funds are designated to cover statutory and institutional charges, aimed at easing the financial burden on beneficiaries and ensuring uninterrupted academic activities.
The intervention, facilitated through NELFUND, is part of ongoing efforts to expand access to higher education financing and support students across Nigerian tertiary institutions under the federal government’s education support framework.
Officials indicated that the disbursement will help many students continue their studies without financial disruption, reinforcing the government’s broader “Renewed Hope” agenda in the education sector.
Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa is among the beneficiary institutions leveraging the scheme to improve student retention and academic stability for the current session.
