Hiring: SENIOR ASSOCIATE – COMMERCIAL & LITIGATION PRACTICE

A full-service law firm in Lekki, Lagos invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Associate.

Requirements
The ideal candidate must possess:
1. A good law degree from a reputable university and be called to the Nigerian Bar, with a minimum of 9–15 years’ post-call and NYSC experience in active legal practice.
2. A Second Class Upper Division (2:1) degree from both the university and the Nigerian Law School will be an added advantage.
3. Demonstrable experience in commercial law, including the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, as well as substantial litigation experience.
4. Exceptional legal drafting, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
5.Excellent written and verbal communication, advocacy, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
6. Proven leadership ability, with experience supervising, mentoring, and developing junior lawyers and providing administrative support in the management of legal matters and the day-to-day operations of a legal practice.
7. Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple transactions and litigation matters simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines.
8. A high level of professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
9. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
