Fidelity Bank Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to financial inclusion, youth empowerment, and fostering a savings culture by awarding N500,000 business grants to nine National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members.
The grants were disbursed under the Get Alert in Millions Season Six (GAIM 6) promo, an initiative designed to reward Fidelity Bank’s loyal customers.
The campaign, which runs from November 2024 to August 2025, offers cash prizes totaling N159 million and targets different customer segments, including NYSC members, students, and general account holders.
Empowering Youth Entrepreneurs
Speaking on the initiative, Osita Ede, Divisional Head of Product Development at Fidelity Bank Plc, highlighted the promo’s focus on inclusivity.
“When we launched GAIM 6 in November 2024, we made it clear that this season is designed to promote inclusivity. As a result, we have increased the total prize pool to N159 million and introduced additional draws.
This season, we have special draws catering to various customer segments, including women, students, youth corps members, and traders. These groups also qualify for the monthly and grand draws, which will run until August 20, 2025,” Ede explained.
The nine NYSC members who received grants were selected via an electronic draw conducted across different branches nationwide. The beneficiaries include:
Oluwatosin Emmanuel Olowolayemo – Uyo 2 Branch
Ekpeno Aniekan George – Uyo 2 Branch
Derryk Chidubem Okafor – Trans-Ekulu Branch
Aliyu Idris Adamu – Tudun-Wada Kaduna Branch
Bomane-Aziba Koromo – Nanka Close, Wuse Branch
Asabe Grace Adamu – University of Maiduguri Branch

Winners Share Their Excitement
One of the grant recipients, Chidubem Okafor, expressed his gratitude, initially doubting the legitimacy of the initiative.
“At first, I thought it was a scam when they introduced the initiative at our orientation camp. But today, I am honored to receive this support from Fidelity Bank. This grant will help me achieve my entrepreneurial dreams, and I intend to make the most of it,” he said.
Similarly, David Agwu, another winner, was surprised when he was informed of his selection.
“When I received the call, I thought it was a prank. I never applied for anything, so it was hard to believe. But after receiving proof, I realized it was real. I plan to invest the money in vocational training and digital skills development, particularly in fashion and painting, to establish a sustainable business,” Agwu shared.
Beyond Financial Support: Business Advisory and Training
In addition to the N500,000 entrepreneurship grant, the winners will receive free business advisory and training sessions at the newly launched Fidelity SME Hub, located at 22, Lanre Awolokun Street, Gbagada Phase 2, Lagos.
