Applications are now open for the 2026 Mo Ibrahim Foundation Leadership Fellowship Programme, established in 2011 to mentor the next generation of outstanding African leaders.
Fellowship Benefits
Placement: Fellows work for 12 months in the executive offices of the AfDB (Abidjan), UNECA (Addis Ababa), or ITC (Geneva).
Stipend: $100,000 annual allowance.
Learning: Gain technical and leadership skills while contributing to policy design and research.
Mentorship: Receive direct guidance from the heads of host organisations.
Networking: Join the Now Generation Network (NGN) and continue contributing to Africa’s development.
Eligibility Criteria
Must be a national of an African country.
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience.
Possess a Master’s degree.
Under 40 years old (or under 45 for women with children).
Must meet any additional criteria set by the host institution.
