Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Honourable Francis Foley, has expressed satisfaction with the smooth and orderly commencement of this year’s Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations in Kasungu District.
Speaking after monitoring the examinations at Loyola Jesuit Secondary School , Chankhanga Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) and Boma CDSS on Monday, Foley said the exercise had started on a positive note, with all examination processes being conducted according to established procedures.
He said the orderly administration of the examinations demonstrates the government’s commitment to preserving the credibility and integrity of national examinations ,he added that the Ministry will continue monitoring examination centres across the country to ensure the process remains fair, secure and transparent.
Foley further said the Ministry has put in place the necessary measures to ensure the examinations are conducted without disruption, expressing confidence that the exercise will continue smoothly until its conclusion.
The Deputy Minister reaffirmed government’s commitment to creating an environment that supports the delivery of credible national examinations.
In his remarks, Education Division Manager (EDM) for Central East division Charles Muthote said the examinations said the monitoring exercise plays a critical role in strengthening accountability and ensuring that national examination standards are strictly upheld across all centres under his jurisdiction.
He further said preparations for the orderly conduct of the examinations focused on strengthening discipline among supervisors and invigilators, with continuous reminders on the importance of maintaining integrity and strictly adhering to examination procedures.
