After weeks away from classrooms, students across Ogun State are preparing to return for the last lap of the academic
year.
All public and private primary and secondary schools, including government technical colleges, are to resume for the third term of the 2025/2026 session on Monday.
The announcement was made by the Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in a statement issued on April 22, 2026, and signed by the Commissioner, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu.
According to the ministry, the resumption date aligns with the approved academic
calendar for the session.
Parents and guardians have been advised to ensure that students return promptly, as academic activities will begin immediately.
“Parents and guardians are enjoined to prepare their wards for immediate resumption as academic work will start without any delay,” the statement read.
Schools across the state had earlier gone on break after completing second term activities.
The third term represents the final phase of the academic session, a period typically focused on completing syllabuses and preparing students for promotion and external examinations.
